Bear

SPCA Inspectors rescued Bear because he was not receiving the care he needed and deserved. Sadly, he was severely neglected - he was very underweight, had wounds on his neck, as well as a badly infected tail.

Bear was rushed to the vet so he could receive the care he so desperately needed. With love, care, understanding, and medication, Bear started to feel better. However, he still needed surgery to treat his tail.

Despite his rough beginnings, it was clear Bear was going to be just fine when he gave the team a goofy post-surgery smile that warmed our hearts.

After recovering at SPCA Christchurch, Bear was ready to find his forever home. Fortunately, family members of the original vet team that cared for him knew he would be the perfect match for their family.

Now fully settled in his new home, Bear gets to spend his days enjoying the good life, running and playing with his new human, who utterly adores him. What a lucky boy!
