Wand Toy

This wand toy is a great interactive toy that is both fun and positive for you and your cat or kitten. Not only can it allow cats and kittens to express natural behaviours, but it can also help strengthen your bond! 

Materials needed:

  • Scrap material
  • Stick
  • String
  • Scissors
  • Non-toxic glue

Instructions:

  1. Cut a piece of string, approximately double the length of the stick.
  2. Cut a few long strips of fabric, approximately 7-8cm wide.
  3. Create a no-sew cat toy using the instructions found here.
  4. Next, cut several small strips of material, approximately 2cm wide x 7-8cm long.
  5. Tie the strips of fabric in a knot around the string, then slide them to the bottom.
  6. Repeat step 5 several times, making a long line of tied strips up the string.
  7. Cover one end of the stick in glue and wrap the end of the string several times until it reaches the end.
