How to enter:

  1. Download the ‘Animal Profile Competition’ worksheets here in the back of the February issue of Kind Matters.
  2. Choose an animal and fill out their profile based on their welfare needs – remember to use the Five Domains!
  3. Draw a picture of your animal with some of the things they need to be happy and healthy.
  4. Scan or take a photo of both sheets and enter by uploading them here or by using the link below.

Kids! Tell your teacher to get your whole class involved and go into the draw to win a class set of EUGY toys!

Terms and Conditions

  • SPCA Kids’ Animal Profile Competition 2024 commences on Thursday 1st February and closes on Sunday 28th April at 11:59 pm. Winners will be contacted via email by Friday 3rd May.
  • By entering SPCA competitions, you’re agreeing for SPCA New Zealand to share your work on all SPCA web pages and within social media postings.
  • For this animal profile competition, you can use coloured pencils, crayons and pens. Digital art or paint entries will not be accepted.
  • Both pages (animal profile table and animal drawing) must be completed and submitted to be considered eligible for the prize draw.
  • The animal profile competition is open to children aged 5-16 years. There is a prize for the winner and runner-up of each age category, and spot prizes are available for additional ‘pawesome’ entries.
  • Age categories are: 5-7 years, 8-10 years and 11-16 years.
  • Winners of a pet portrait will be asked to provide a photo(s) of one animal they would like a portrait of.
  • Winners of the school class prize draw will receive x30 EUGY. 
  • This competition is only open to “Eligible Entrants”, individuals who: are residents of New Zealand and are not a child of an SPCA employee.
  • One entry per child. (Double entry permitted if part of whole class submission).
