Get Ready to Start Snapping! It’s Time for the Kind Matters Kids’ Photography Competition!

Hey tamariki! Grab your cameras and get your fingers ready because the Kind Matters Kids’ Photography Competition is back, and we’re super excited for this year’s theme: ‘Animals at Home’!

We want to see your furry, feathered, or scaly friends living their best lives right at home. Show us how they’re happy, healthy, and enjoying their special spaces. Your photo can feature any animal and here are some fun ideas for you:

Here’s how to enter:

1. Snap a photo of your animal friend(s) living happily and comfortably at home.
2. Submit your photo by clicking on the button above - 'ENTER NOW'

Remember, the most important thing is to ensure the photo session is fun and safe for you and your animal friends! So, get snapping and show us how your animal friends enjoy their homes. We can’t wait to see your entries! Note: ONE ENTRY PER CHILD.

We’re also thrilled to introduce one of our judges, Jo Moore, a talented photographer from Wellington. Jo has been capturing stunning animal photos for over 15 years, including for SPCA Wellington. Check out some of her fantastic photos and photography tips in this issue of Kind Matters!

Terms and Conditions:

• SPCA Kids’ Animals at Home Photography Competition 2024 commences on Thursday 1st August and closes on Sunday 20th October at 11:59 pm. Winners will be contacted via email by Friday 25th October.
• By entering SPCA competitions, you’re agreeing for SPCA New Zealand to share your work on all SPCA web pages and within social media postings.
• The photography competition is open to children aged 5-16 years. There is an overall grand prize winner, a prize for the winner and runner-up of each age category, and spot prizes are available for additional ‘pawesome’ entries.
• Age categories are: 5-7 years, 8-10 years and 11-16 years.
• This competition is only open to “Eligible Entrants”, individuals who are residents of New Zealand.
• One entry per child.
