Axel had a difficult start to life and was very unwell when he was rescued by Carla, a compassionate member of the public. He was brought into SPCA where our teams got to work, providing him with the medical care and attention he needed.
Axel was not used to people so at first he was very scared, but he slowly began to show signs of being more comfortable around his caregivers.
This was an improvement, but Axel still needed lots of time to learn how to trust people so he went to a loving foster home.
Carla, his rescuer, knew Axel was a special boy and so she decided she would foster him. To make a cool story even cooler, Carla then decided to adopt Axel!
She says "he loves hanging his belly through the hole in his cat tower and hanging out with his new bff, Ranger the dog."
