Mouse Tunnel

Mice have a strong instinct to use and make tunnels. One of the ways mice guardians can meet this behavioural need is by providing their mice with ready-made tunnels. This simple tunnel uses materials most people have on hand at home, so it’s super quick and easy!

Tip: If you’re making fun enrichment toys for SPCA, make sure to call your local SPCA centre first to check if they have any mice in their care - we don't often have mice come in. 

Materials needed:

  • Cardboard tubes
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Scissors
  • Non-toxic glue

Instructions:

  1. Cut one side of the cardboard tube to create a tunnel shape.
  2. Flatten the cardboard tube and glue popsicle sticks along the outside.
  3. Allow to dry completely before giving the tunnel to your mice!
